Dare You Take A Chance?

Dare you take a chance
And jump into the unknown
the blue abyss while being alone?

Dare you take a chance
And raise your voice
while looking at me straight in the eye
with your bloodshot eyes?

Dare you take a chance
And stand up
while rocking in front of the world
with your hair in a mess
and your lips all smudged in crimson?

Dare you take a chance
To let your heart skip a beat
and to let your feet not touch the ground?

Life's all about risk. No matter what it is

You just have to take that one chance , roll the dice, and play your cards right

If you don't take that one risk you'll never know if you've missed out on something important

Ain't It Funny...

Ain't it funny how it all began
On one starless dark night

I can remember us sitting by the stairs
Giving each other evil glares
Talking and laughing about random stuff
I can remember the black hooded guy
Who kept on coming closer that you had to shoo away

The wine and the food adventure that you took me too
and how we always stayed up by the fountain till the morning light showed

And it brings me sadness knowing that those days are gone
For you have flown away
To a little island in the far south east...

Will we ever have more time or will the clock stop ticking altogether ?

If Only He Knew...

If only you knew
what hides
what lurks behind the dark brown eyes
you see

If only you knew the face
the face you see in the mirror
every morning
every night

If only you could make your mind up
and realise that this is true
if only you knew what was growing inside
yearning for your soul

If only you knew what to do
then you wouldn't hide
you wouldn't be so torned
you wouldn't have to take long walks in the middle of the night

If only you knew that this would last
and you'll never have to find another
you'll never have to search the seven seas
or the stars in the sky

If only you knew that two is better than one
and you know its true that we can't live without each other...

Clueless, Emotionaless and Souless...

Between crossroads there I stood
Wondering which way to go

I took the path of another
Not one of my own

I'm walking now and i'm struggling
Its too dark
My eyes can't see

I don't have a light cause someone took it from me
I don't have hands to guide my way

I'm struggling
I'm falling
Into the unknown

A pit
or the bottom of the ocean

I don't care
as I feel the slippery cold hands of misery
Numb my pain

I used to have my feet on soft clouds
and the sun in my face

Where did it go?
I don't know

I know I'll pull through
I always do...

I'll float again sometime soon
But for now I'm just going to lie here
Clueless, emotionaless and souless...

Baby I'm Just So Over You...

Random scribbles when you day dream in class .....

Baby I can't live a lie
No more, We're through
This is me
I'm walking out the door
From you

Can't you see that we can't mend
Whats broken my dear
Nothing but shattered glass on the floor right now
I'm tired of you
Of all your games
And all the lies you told me too

Nothing but sweet mutterings
To pull me to you
Baby I'm just so over you
Baby i'm just so over you

Why did you do the things you did to me
The lies, where was the truth
Baby I won't denie that I still care for you
I do, after all we've been through
But I can't just do this anymore

I'm just so tired of you
Of all your games
And all the lies you told me too
Nothing but sweet mutterings
To pull me to you

Baby I can't live a lie
No more, we're through
This is me
I'm walking out the door
From you

Baby I'm just so over you
Baby I'm just so over you...

The Last Goodbye...

We once wrote our names in the sand
Thinking that it will last
and the tides will never wash it away
but for some reason the tides grew strong
eventually your name faded but mine stayed

you left me at a crossroad
drenched in the rain
i watched you walked the road which i could not take
i fell on my knees and curled into a ball
praying that the pain and numbness would go away
eventually the rain stopped and the sun came
warming my icy heart of stone
i soon crawled, walked and ran
i ran in the opposite direction towards a new horizon

the new horizon held unexpected surprises
a world filled with the unknown....

now as the euphoria of the new world fills my vains
i bid you goodbye for one last time ....

This was long overdue... i found it sitting in a pile of paper :)

Should I Give Up or Should I Keep Chasing Pavements?

there was a time when i was little
where you kept me safe in your bubble
with your watchful eye
you watched me grow into a butterfly
those days have passsed
as i have aged

i've learn to walk, fall and get back up
i also never had the best of hands
but i tried to play my cards right
i rolled the dice and payed my dues
and learned a thing or two

so don't you think its about time you let go?
why won't you ?
so should i give up asking you?
or should i just keep chasing pavements?

Words With Meaning

hey

poetry has always fascinated me since i was a little girl because they always seem to rhyme ... i know i'm weird but i couldn't help it ok ? so one of my favourite poets is Robert Frost . i bet some of you already know him as his poem fire and ice is featured in the book eclipse in the twilight series by stephanie meyer... if you don't believe me go and check and see x) and you might know him as welll as we did one of his poems during our high school years (The Road Not Taken) i remember reciting that poem in front of class during form 1 for my ulbs...

Robert Frost

"At times bittersweet, sometimes ironic, or simply marveling at his surroundings, one can also see autobiographical details in Frost’s works; he suffered devastating losses in his life including the untimely deaths of his sister, two of his children and his wife. He knew the soul’s depths of psychic despair but was also capable of delighting in birch trees ‘loaded with ice a sunny winter morning’. While memorialising the rural landscape, vernacular, culture and people of New England in his traditional verse style, his poems also transcend the boundaries of time and place with metaphysical significance and modern exploration of human nature in all her beauty and contradictions. Though not without his critics, millions of readers the world over have found comfort and profound meaning in his poetry and he has influenced numerous other authors, poets, musicians, and playwrights into the 21st Century."

His Poems...

Flower-Gathering
I left you in the morning,
And in the morning glow,
You walked a way beside me
To make me sad to go.
Do you know me in the gloaming,
Gaunt and dusty gray with roaming?
Are you dumb because you know me not,
Or dumb because you know?
All for me And not a question
For the faded flowers gay
That could take me from beside you
For the ages of a day?
They are yours, and be the measure
Of their worth for you to treasure,
The measure of the little while
That I've been long away.
Fireflies in the Garden
Here come real stars to fill the upper skies,
And here on earth come emulating flies,
That though they never equal stars in size,
(And they were never really stars at heart)
Achieve at times a very star-like start.
Only, of course, they can't sustain the part.
The Freedom of the Moon
I've tried the new moon tilted in the air
Above a hazy tree-and-farmhouse cluster
As you might try a jewel in your hair.
I've tried it fine with little breadth of luster,
Alone, or in one ornament combining
With one first-water start almost shining.
I put it shining anywhere I please.
By walking slowly on some evening later,
I've pulled it from a crate of crooked trees,
And brought it over glossy water, greater
,And dropped it in, and seen the image wallow,
The color run, all sorts of wonder follow.
anyway thats just a few of them ... he has many works ... My favourite is my butterfly...
thats all for now bye everyone..
